Your Cart 32 Settings on Sheer Web Host

Quick Reference: Your Cart 32 Settings

You'll receive your cart client code after you submit a trouble ticket from your Web site (H-sphere) control panel requesting Cart32 setup.
The following settings are specific to carts hosted on Sheer Web Host. See Getting Started Guide for general Cart settings.

1. Changes to your Web site pages:

General: Wherever you see this text: "yourclientcode" in the following instructions, replace it with your actual client code. You will receive your client code in a "Cart32 Setup" message.

The Code for your Cart Buttons is: https://www.cart32hosting.com/sheerwebhost/cart32.exe/yourclientcode . (If you're transferring your cart from another host, be sure to find and replace all instances of the previous cart code in your site with the new code.)

2. IMPORTANT! Before you begin cart setup, be sure to login to your H-sphere control panel and click the e-mail icon.

Under E-mail Setup Functions, click the default mailbox "postmaster." Check spam settings if desired. If you want all mail to forward to you, check MAIL FORWARD, enter your e-mail address and click Submit at the bottom.
Add a mailbox for your order confirmation address (often called "sales" or "orders") by clicking New E-mail. If you want the mail to be forwarded to you, enter your real e-mail address in the mail forward box and check MAIL FORWARD. Click Submit.

4. Settings in

Admin:

File Tab>
Email = yourmailbox@yourdomain.com (account you created in your H-Sphere control panel. This setting will be displayed to your customers on the order confirmation.)
Mail Server = mail.yourdomain.com (Do not change this.)
Email User Name = postmaster@yourdomain.com (This is the primary mailbox that is automatically created for you. Do not change this.)
Password = your H-Sphere mail password (not your Cart32 password).

Mail Troubleshooting: The mail send will not work until you change your domain's DNS to sheerwebhost.com as in your Welcome message. This takes 24 to 72 hours to resolve across the Internet.
After that, if you checked send e-mail to client/customer (in the Orders>Settings tab) but it's not being sent, log into your H-sphere Control Panel>>Webmail, and send yourself a test message from the Postmaster mailbox. If that doesn't help, reset the e-mail password in the Cart Admin File tab (delete password, save, type it in again and save again).

Template File directory (if you use custom templates): C:\ozarkol\sheerwebhost\client\yourclientcode\templates
Secure domain name: Leave blank.
Secure CGI directory = /sheerwebhost/ (Be sure to include the "/" before and after the name.)
