Moving an Existing Cart32 to Sheer Web Host

1. Purchase a Sheer Web Host Cart32 plan. Log into your H-Sphere control panel and submit trouble ticket requesting a Cart32 install.

2. Log into your existing/old cart. Click the File tab and then click the Export Client Data button.

3. Follow the instructions to export your cart settings, orders and users to a text file. After you see the gauge indicate it's 100% processed, save the file to your hard drive and e-mail it to cart32@sheerwebhost.com.

Note: The export process can take a while if you have many orders and/or customers in your cart database.

4. Check the Quick Reference Guide to see which settings you should change to point to your new directories on Sheer Web Host.

5. Publish your general Web site files to your new host as per the Welcome e-mail you received — but don't change the DNS (name servers) until you thoroughly test the new cart and site.

6. Make sure your new e-mail is working from your H-sphere Control Panel, but please be aware the cart won't send order confirmations until you change your site's DNS (nameservers) to the addresses assigned to you in the Welcome message.

7. When everything's working, change the DNS to the addresses assigned to you in the Welcome message.

Your site will be updated worldwide within 24 to 72 hours. Although you may be able to see your site on your new server sooner than that, please allow a complete 72-hour cycle before you delete the files on your old host. You may see some fluctuation between the new and old sites until your new address fully resolves across the Internet.
